Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
To run Meee Social, we collect:
•
Account info: name, username, email, hashed password, date of birth, profile picture.
•
Content you create: posts, videos, listings, bids, messages, comments, reports.
•
Verification status (from Persona or other KYC providers): approved / pending / declined, DOB-verified flag, provider reference ID. We do NOT permanently store raw ID images.
•
Device & technical: device type, OS, app version, IP address, session tokens.
•
Location (only when you choose): coarse city-level for Local Discovery. Exact addresses are never publicly displayed.

2. How We Use It
We use your data to:
•
Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
•
Run moderation, AI Watchdog, and trust scoring.
•
Communicate moderation outcomes, account notices, and product updates.
•
Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. How We Share It
We share only what is necessary with: KYC providers (Persona, Veriff, Onfido, Sumsub) for identity verification, cloud infrastructure providers, Google AdMob for advertising delivery, and law enforcement when required by law.
We do NOT sell your personal data.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Meee Social uses Google AdMob to display ads. To deliver, measure, and protect those ads from fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects:

Approximate location, inferred from IP address.
•
Device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID (or, on iOS, the IDFA only if you grant App Tracking permission).
•
Ad interactions (impressions, clicks, video views) and diagnostic events (app launch, hang rate, energy usage).

5. Advertising — Your Choices
Data collected by AdMob is encrypted in transit (TLS) and is used for advertising delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and analytics — never to identify you personally on third-party sites.
On iOS you can deny App Tracking Transparency on first launch (or change it later in Settings → Meee Social → Tracking), which will prevent IDFA-based personalization.
On Android you can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time via Settings → Privacy → Ads.
For full details on Google's data practices see: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. We currently ship Google's official TEST ads only during Closed Testing; no real ad revenue is being generated yet.

6. Encryption and Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt/Argon2 hashes. Session tokens are random and revokable. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS.

Terms of Service

1. About These Terms
Welcome to Meee Social, operated by Home Built Investments LLC ("we", "us", "the Company"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Meee Social ("the Service") at https://support@hbillcms.com and through our mobile apps.
By creating an account, browsing, or using any feature of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Meee Social. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Marketplace, place bids, or sell items.
Some features require identity verification. By using verification-gated features you agree to undergo identity verification through our trusted provider (currently Persona).

3. Accounts and Authentication
You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials safe. Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes; we never store your password in plain text.
You agree to provide accurate information, including a verifiable date of birth where required.

4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:

Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.
•
Impersonate any person or misrepresent affiliation with any group.
•
Harass, threaten, dox, or expose private information of any user.
•
List or trade prohibited items (see Prohibited Items Policy).
•
Manipulate auctions, post fake bids, or attempt payment fraud.
•
Circumvent moderation, ban-evade, or abuse the report system.
•
Scrape, hack, reverse-engineer, or stress-test the Service.

5. Moderation and AI Watchdog
We operate moderation, AI-assisted moderation ("AI Watchdog"), and a trust scoring system to keep the platform safe. We may take action including warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, marketplace restrictions, account suspension, or permanent ban.
False or abusive reporting may itself result in reporting cooldowns, trust score reductions, or other restrictions per our False Report Protection.

6. Marketplace and Transactions
Meee Social provides tools to connect buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction. Users transact at their own risk and are responsible for in-person meetups, payment, and item condition.
Transaction issues (no-show, late, item not as described) are handled separately from severe scam reports.

7. Content Ownership and Licenses
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Home Built Investments LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, distribute, and promote your content on the Service.

8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time per our Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOME BUILT INVESTMENTS LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS RESULTING FROM USER-TO-USER TRANSACTIONS.

Age Restriction Policy

1. Minimum Ages
Meee Social is 16+ for the social network (feeds, videos, messages).
Marketplace is strictly 18+ for both buying and selling.

2. How We Enforce It
Age is captured at signup. Marketplace participation requires identity + DOB verification through Persona.
Users who misrepresent their age may be banned. Suspected accounts of minors below 16 are reviewed urgently.
